What to expect in the general process of starting and completing a website.
step 1. Investigate
We meet (first by email with a quote request, then in person or by phone) to discuss your vision and goals for your website. We discuss how you want your visitors to interact with your site, time frame, budget, etc.
step 2. Plan
Your custom website package is established, including a site development and maintenance plan, an online marketing plan (optional), and a payment plan.
step 3. Research (optional – see marketing)
Analysis of key words, directories, and competitors is completed for search engine optimization and marketing.
step 4. Design
The core mock up (either the home page or product page) of your website is created. The bare bones of your content, (copy, images, video, etc.) is required at this step. Any design revisions take place, and all creative and technical elements are approved for implementation.
step 5. Implement
All content is established and the web site is built. SEO best practices are in place, and the overall marketing plan (if selected) is implemented.
step 6. Reflect
We complete an overview of accomplished objectives from the initial project plan and have a toast to good people and good business!
